One the way home from school/work we see equipment - a steam shovel, dump truck etc. They are digging a rather large hole in the street.
Me: Wow, that is a big hole
Miles: I should bring my shovel and help them
Me: mmmm
Miles: You could pick me up at the end of the day
Me: Do you want me to pack you a lunch?
Miles: and a snack would be good.
Me: you know Miles, you are still kinda little - not sure they will let you help them.
Miles: Maybe Daddy can help them then
Another day Miles and his best Bud Grayson were both playing at the table. Miles was playing with his lego ninjas and Grayson had the toy animals "making a zoo"
Miles: Ahh, ahh, Grayson, the bad guys are attacking, help!!
Grayson: Im making a zoo, I don't want to fight
Miles: Ahhh, ahhh, Help!
Me: Grayson, maybe your animals can help Miles chase the bad guys
Grayson: Maybe the Meat Eaters
Miles: The Mediators?
I think someone has been spending too much time with his Union Grammie.......
About a year ago Miles and I were driving down the road and passed by a large pet store
Miles: Mama, can we get a pet?
Me: What kind of pet are you thinking?
Miles: Maybe a kitty?
Me: You are allergic baby.
Miles: A puppy?
Me: What about a small pet, like one that would live in a cage?
Miles: You mean like a little Lion?
last week on our way to school
Miles: Connor is a baby name, what will his name be when he is big?
Me: His name will still be Connor - its not just a baby name
Miles: But Connor is a baby name - we should change his name to an M name - then we can be the MJones Family!
Me: But his name is Connor - we like his name
Miles: He needs an M name - lets name him Mike!
We were getting into the car and I asked him to buckle his seatbelt on his own
Miles: Aw Man, Crappity Jeezus!
